IBC was on hand for the City of Milwaukie Oregon Waterfront Park Grand Opening yesterday afternoon making friends and supporting the local community. We spent time with the Clackamas Co. Fire Dept. talking about rescue techniques and equipment while people filed in for the ceremony.

On hand guests included Johnson Creek Watershed Council, The Mayor of Milwaukie Oregon, Oregon State Marine Board Director, Deputy Director Of Oregon State Parks And Recreation, et. al.

It’s always a pleasure to Speak with Director Brewen from OSMB and hear about what OSMB does for the boaters in the State Of Oregon. With Director Brewen was the Deputy Director of Oregon State Parks and Recreation there to speak about how Oregon supports it’s communities and why it’s the best place to live in the US.Good job OSMB & OPRD!

IBC Operator Mike was the first boat to tie up to the new floating dock in his Bombard Commando C-4R rigged with a Nissan TLDI 40Hp. Get one before they are gone.

There were lots of SUP Boarders using the new beach access area to try out the popular sport of paddle boarding.

Hopefully those kids throwing rocks and bottles in the water there at yesterdays event will get some discipline from their neglectful parents. River access is very hard to come by on the Willamette, it’s a shame when parents let their kids throw trash into the water. They must have been out of towners not Oregonians. Keep it clean Oregon or lose it forever.

The first boat was launched for the ribbon cutting ceremony to the sounds of wooden xylophones and cheers from the crowd. The City of Milwaukie has long needed an updated boat ramp and the new floating dock where there wasn’t one before. Good job Milwaukie! Oregon’s boaters thank you!

See you one the water!
